I am happy to report that I’m not sick anymoreeeeeee! I know 99.9% of you crazy cats didn’t even know I was sick but oh man. I was! It all started last weekend when my son was hit by the stomach flu in the middle of a Cheesecake Factory (being a mom can be so glamorous!) and then it hit me 4 days later. Anyway, I’m not going to let you in on the beautiful details, but please know I am feeling more alive and energized than I have in a few days and it feels goooood!
So anyway, these photos were taken awhile ago (proof: where’s the snow?) but I have to say I may need to pull this outfit out again. Polka dots on polka dots are always a good idea!
I’m going to keep this short and sweet today. Have a lovely Sunday! I’m going to go drink another Americano and daydream of spring. Gingham prints are coming soon to the blog!

You say Chambray, I say Denim. Either way it’s cute, classic and a wardrobe staple of mine. Straight up buttoned up or tied at the waist like this, I can’t get enough. This particular shirt has snaps for buttons, which, if John has taught me anything, it’s that snappy shirts are the way to go. His closet is stuffed to the brim with snappy western shirts- again, cute and classic!
My closet is jammed full of summer dresses and all winter I try and find new ways to make them work for the season. A tied button up is a great way to show off this Etsy dress and stay warm at the same time. Also, this dress doesn’t have pockets (shameful!), so I can tuck my chapstick into the chest pocket on the shirt and go on with my day.
I love love LOVE these tapestry shoes my mom gave me for Christmas. I’ll throw them on with just about anything and they’re comfortable to boot!
I gave all my bridesmaids-to-be best friends necklaces when I asked them to stand up with me, which is why this necklace keeps popping up in my outfit posts. I was obsessed with these necklaces when I was younger and I guess some things never change.

I scored this sweet ascot/scarf/neck thing from my grandma. I think she may have sewn it up back in the 80s, and I am psyched to call it my own. It’s a great color, it’s silky, I’ve never seen another one, and it also gives any look a bit of whimsy. Ever since I saw polka dot sweaters pop up all over Pinterest I started trying to find the perfect one. This one I scored at Old Navy, and even though I originally wanted one with large dotties, I love this one. And the booties! Can we talk about the booties for a second? I found these at Charlotte Russe last week for $10. TEN DOLLARS! And they are even cute when covered in snow!
Well, this week I shed my “stay-at-home mom” title. Time to go back to work! I’m excited, I’m happy, and I’m a little sad. I will miss hanging out with my little Chazberry every day, BUT it will be nice talking to people that don’t respond by throwing cottage cheese at me. I hope?
